Star Wars Comics June 2023 Solicitations

Summer is in the air, flowers are in full bloom, and you are probably just like me, trying to avoid allergies and get to your local comic shop to pick up the latest Star Wars comics! June 2023’s Star Wars comic solicitations foretell quite the month, from Anakin and Yoda going toe-to-toe with Megadroids (a name as Star Wars as it gets), the excellent Sana Starros miniseries takes its final bow, Aphra’s hanging out with Luke, Vader’s hanging out with….Aphra, and Luke is hanging out with…..a different doctor? Canon Comic Review: Yoda #4

The Yoda maxiseries has different creative teams for each new arc, and Yoda #4 is the start of Jody Houser and Luke Ross’ “Students of the Force,” which sees the titular Jedi Master reach out to his old friend, Master Dooku, for help with the current batch of Jedi initiates. The intriguing dynamic between the two friends is handled excellently, while a specific group of students has an interesting tale unfolding, making for a fantastic start to the latest arc.
