Brief New The Force Awakens Footage Shown

Finn v Kylo

Why Kylo Ren is igniting his lightsaber, shown during the first teaser, in a snowy, wooded area gets answered in brand-new footage from The Force Awakens released on Star Wars’ official Instagram account. It seems Finn, first teased to be holding a lightsaber in D23’s exclusive poster, is there to face the masked menace. The look on Finn’s face, determination and some slight fear is a pretty chilling and thrilling image. There’s also a new shot of Rey and BB-8 looking up in awe at…something. The teaser is below: Continue reading “Brief New The Force Awakens Footage Shown”

Rogue One A Star Wars Story

After all the build up for The Force Awakens this week thanks to Entertainment Weekly, it wasn’t crazy to wonder just what else Lucasfilm could bring for their portion of the live-action panel at the D23 Expo this morning. They delivered on a scale most didn’t expect, as they announced the Rogue One cast (and stealthily rebranded the Anthology films into A Star Wars Story), a director for Episode IX was revealed, and dropped the bomb that TWO 14 ACRES Star Wars Lands are being planned. I’ll let that last part settle in and when you’re done hyperventilating, continue reading below for the details. Continue reading “D23 Expo: Rogue One Cast Revealed, Ep. SPECTRE Trailer Introduces the Author of Bond’s Pain

The full trailer for SPECTRE covers everything you’d want from a Bond film, especially following Casino Royale and Skyfall’s more layered approach to the character, as well as more of the over-the-top action sequences and gadget-filled cars from the character’s past. It also has a few things you don’t normally see, including the look of fear on Bond’s face when Christoph Waltz’s character locks eyes with him. More detailed thoughts, including my deeper look at what S.P.E.C.T.R.E. means for Quantum, below. Continue reading “SPECTRE Trailer Introduces the Author of Bond’s Pain”

SDCC 2015: The Force Awakens Panel, BTS Video, General Hux, and More!

No, those weren’t tears in my eyes from watching the above behind-the-scenes video. Definitely not tears. I think it’s raining in my basement. Look, you watch that and try not to get a little teary-eyed, alright? Star Wars came to San Diego Comic Con for the first time to take a look at The Force Awakens, and while it covered some things we heard at April’s SWCA, it blew the roof off of Hall H and excauated everyone to a secret Star Wars concert. Technically it didn’t happen that way, but it sure felt like it and there was totally a concert they took everyone to! Details on what we all learned below. Continue reading “SDCC 2015: The Force Awakens Panel, BTS Video, General Hux, and More!”

All six classic films are finally being released in Digital HD this Friday, April 10, as the Saga ramps up the nostalgia machine heading into the last stretch before The Force Awakens bows in December.
